I've been coming to this and the Gathering for 10+ years now, and every time I say it - but this was the BEST ONE YET.
Arrived on the Friday to find the campsite super organised and all our fellow campers extra friendly and cool. Got into the show nice and early on Saturday to bag a decent space and the range of cars on show was spectacular; I've had a soft spot for Mk2 Golfs for the longest time and have owner a few so that was a highlight and the lowriders really know how to put on a show.
Saturday evening wouldn't be complete without the tat auction and this one was an absolute classic of useless chod...sadly my pockets weren't deep enough for Boris Johnson's Ukrainian Brexit teabags or a pirate VHS copy of F&F one, but I'm sure they've gone to great homes - along with all the parts required to build your own 6N Polo.
Sunday felt a little quieter than Saturday but was no less entertaining with the Autosolo always providing skiddy thrills and spills and, once again, the gantry straight providing all manner of amazing machines. I didn't even know they made a Citroen Visa GTi!?!
So I just wanted to say a huge thank you from the bottom of my cider and taco filled heart to everyone who makes it possible...the RR team, security, marshalls, all the stall holders and of course my fellow RR'ers for bringing it all together. It's genuinely the highlight of my year and I can't thank you enough.
And apologies if anyone walked into my land yacht...I've still no idea where it starts and ends 🤣🤣
