This may be something that others haven't noticed but the "Halfords special" 99 quid JVC head unit is something that constantly appears in classics and retros. They're bloody everywhere! It doesn't matter whether you're at a show or looking through FaceBay, the chances are you'll find at least a couple of these monstrosities. No car is safe.... You won't be able to unsee them!   |

There was me thinking it would be a newer model. But I've seen that one in many vehicles for the past 15 years  (I think mums Micra had 1 in it when she bought that, and its still in the shed! ) |

Used to sell these by the bucket load when I worked in Halfords years ago. Always preferred to buy the discounted older stock Pioneers/Alpines at staff discount prices as well 😂

They sound ok but really do look totally e t i h s - It's a low point of car stereo history. Now, where's my HARVARD ffwd/eject combo single cassette player with FM/AM radio that I bought for 25 quid ? I thought that was bad at the time but would look absolutely fine now - as for retro car stereos NEVER buy one of these no matter now cheap. It doesn't get mouch worse. bluetooth thats too quiet and lights up so brightly in blue it feels like being in a hospital.  |

I have one of these  It's functional but the bluetooth does suffer from interference |
