Wow... thats quite astounding. I've always wanted to go to SEMA. Do they have public days now or do you still need to be in the trade in some way?

Yes!
There is some stuff in there that I'd not seen elsewhere. Which is why I like to have proper galleries by real people from these events. The Insta view of this event is like a dozen cars at most, but when you have someone give you a bigger gallery you see much more and far better cars.
E30 on Ferrari rims is one of those I'd not seen anywhere else.

Do they have public days now or do you still need to be in the trade in some way? I believe it is possible to get public tickets now, yes E30 on Ferrari rims is one of those I'd not seen anywhere else. Yeah, that's a cool car - e30_bruh debuted that one at SEMA last year, and this year he was debuting this other E30 in a different hall, complete with orange Rolls-Royce leather: DSC_9675 by denialvibes, on Flickr DSC_9668 by denialvibes, on Flickr DSC_9669 by denialvibes, on Flickr DSC_9674 by denialvibes, on Flickr DSC_9671 by denialvibes, on Flickr

Great pics. Also means I don't have to post mine now I feel like there were less classic American cars there since my last visit in 2018. And a lot more brodozers!

Wow... thats quite astounding. I've always wanted to go to SEMA. Do they have public days now or do you still need to be in the trade in some way? There's now the Friday Experience for the public, but honestly I wouldn't recommend it. I walked 13 miles trying to get all four halls covered in 7 hours. Pretty much ruined me and although I got probably 85% around and took loads of pics, there's was no time to stop and actually look at any of the car properly. Doing SEMA 'correctly' over the fours days is tough enough, but at least you get to look at stuff rather than 'snao and go'.

Thanks for sharing these pics and the rest in Your gallery.
To be very honest: If I had visited (I never did), I would have been very very disappointed.
Hardly anything really interesting to me as most of the cars are just too far over the top. Even the ones I might like still have too much of anything: bling/engine/pipes/monstertruckappearance/wheels/...
Plus as VIP already mentioned: the vast amount of things to see resulting in so much time pressure and/or impression overload!
Bang, now I'm officially old!

There is talk of extending the public days for next year, but whether it will happen or not is anyone's guess. We did 2 days this year and that's still not really enough. Had to compromise though, we wanted a couple of days to do 'Vegas things' and 4 days in Vegas amounts to 6 days away from home which is a lot when you have a young family. Then when you add a bit of jetlag into the equation you lose even more time

There are some horrors though, the look good from afar but once you start looking there's dodgy welding, missing components etc.

Wow some impressive stuff there, I've seen a fair bit of that light blue mx5 on Instagram, getting a lot of attention for having a non running LS engine with a lamborghini intake plenum balanced on top... But I suspect the attention is what the builder was aiming for!

I suppose it just reflects where the money is in the aftermarket now. The rod/custom/muscle car scene seems to be ever increasingly nostalgia focused these days* (and mostly owned by older people) which doesn't lend itself to new innovative products. *Not that that's a bad thing.

It's a UK owned and built car too. Belongs to Ciro Ciampi of Petrolheadonism Events.

It is the worst car I've ever seen, I'm genuinely ashamed it was out there representing the UK modified scene on this stage (and I can tell you from the PMs I've had on various sites that I am not alone).
Still... Gets the clicks on YouTube so I guess that is all that matters.
I will pay the negativity tax, apologies.
