This event today was advertised to take place from 10am - 4pm. I live an hour away and due to other commitments was not able to leave home until just after 11am. Disappointing then to find upon my arrival at just after midday the majority of stallholders were packing up and leaving and within half an hour the hall was virtually empty. Shouldn't the stallholders, out of courtesy, be prepared to stay till the end of the event? If not, shouldn't the organisers adjust the advertised event times accordingly? As were leaving about a half hour later there were still many punters arriving only to find a virtually empty hall. Due to eBay and the like, these events are already few and far between but I can see the few that still exist also disappearing if organisers and stallholders treat those of us who have to travel with such contempt. Anyway, have a nice pic of random, but enticing autojumble stall . . . .

I have found this to be an issue as well.
There is a well advertise A47 Autojumble in Leicestershire which is a good hour's drive from me. It was adverised as like 9am - 4pm so I turned up just after mid day as I have family and so on. Yanno. And it says " to 4pm"
And yes, stallholders packing up as I was walking round. There was one guy actually took the box of stuff I was looking through and packed it in his car AS I WAS LOOKING THROUGH IT
When I questioned this behaviour I am told that "its not worth staying all day for a bunch of timewasters!" but I wonder who the actual time wasters are.... By 13:30 or 14:00 the only stalls were ones selling flowers, home goods, a tool dealer selling new Lazer and similar wares and one excellent old fella selling second hand tools and misc ex motor factor stuff.
I won't be making the effort to go down there again.

Thats a bit curse word when it is advertised as on to 4PM, And for the guy to say I have a family, Surley staying till 3- 4 oclock is only a few hours difference anyways He may of just being having a bad day, Or just in the wrong job

As a buyer, and this is more about how I function, is that I'd be up and there early. My lifestyle lends itself to that, so as such I'd be done and away quite early as I'll be looking for specific items.
However if I'm selling then I'd expect to stick it out to the end unless I've sold up(unlikely given how much stuff I really need to shift next year).
Manners - there's simply no excuse for being rude to people especially if they're potential customers.

I think you hot the nail on the head there, If I was selling stuff, I would budget my time as being there until 16.00, Unless I had sold out everything if you havent got manners, Or not a fan of people, Just stick your stuff on ebay, I never understand why people are rude that are selling stuff, Why bother pay the money for a stall? Makes no sense
