I must be the only person on here that made a profit on his Skoda - bought it for £220, sold it for £250 2 years later! Ok so it was only £30 and I had pretty much rebuilt the entire car at one time or another.... I'd rather have kept it though . I was going to Uni in London so a car wasn't really an option

Mk1 fiesta 1300. Loads of fun. Westfield SEi - unbeatable locally. Not a single escort could get passed! Ferrari owners didn't dare either!

I wish I'd kept my 1985 Zs with a 5speed gearbox, cos I could do with one now.
I wish I could have kept my Citroen XM estate as it was beyond cool (see barges thread from last Friday), but alas they don't actually print money fast enough to keep an old XM on the road!! ;D

Out of the 10 cars I've previously owned (still got numbers 11 and 12!), probably the two Germans below: Audi 80 quattro - the first one, with the 5-cylinder engine (rarer than poor quality wobbly children's play pony doodoo - they only imported 1,000 in the first place). In the condition in the photo (i.e. mint), one previous owner, 51k miles, full MOT, full Audi history - cost me £300 in September '01. Ran it for 10,000 miles over 6 months grinning all the way, then got bored and sold it. curse word. Then this one: Rot-free E28 528i, with M-Tec suspension, wear-free sports seats, LSD, and Getrag 5-speed box. 150k miles but FSH. Had to sell this one when I went to work in Guernsey for a couple of years - I couldn't expose one this good to a salty air environment! Great couple of months tooling around in it though (fuel and tyre bills a bit of a bind, mind). Regrets, regrets...

My 1972 Mk 3 Cortina XL - had run it into the back of a Vauxhall Carlton and was off to uni so couldn't afford to get it repaired. The banger racer on the corner bought it off me, he also bought the
1973 Mk 3 Cortina 2000 2door GT that I'd bought to do up and had to sell at the same time. He wouldn't buy the
1971?? Opel Kadett Coupe S with a blown engine though so we had to get the scrapman to come and take it. I'd love to have all the three back again now.
