Since the ol' mondeo went up in smoke, I've been looking into its replacement. Initially I'd thought of going the passat estate route ( mk2 / b3e ) but over the last few days I've been strangely drawn to something from our far eastern friends. The Toyota Space Cruiser ;D I've found a few good uk/usa based websites informing of the pitfalls ( overheating !!! ) of these motors, but would especially like to hear from anyone on here whos owned one, around the C to G/H reg. Oh and of course it would have to be euro'd just for the sheer pose value, dropped on shiny 15's ( i don't know of any modified space cruisers in the uk ) So if anyone has any links to tuning / parts companies Ta muchly. As always thanks in advance, and we're loving the Euro'd thread at the moment ;D J

I'd heard rumour that Space Cruisers are actually a bit poo. Shlap in a Supra / Celica engine if you must. I'd rather have a Renault Espace. Quadra. With an R21 Turbo engine. Bbbwwwwaaaaarrrrr!

A modded Space Cruiser, what a great idea! ;D Why thanks very much ;D I've never been one to follow the crowd..........................................! Hence why I ask on here for opinions and advice, a far better resource than *ahem* certain sites can offer. As for performance, not really bothered to be honest. As it'll need to be a family hauler, and tow the trailer tent , plus carry the odd engine about. And i can get it as reliable as I can, looking how I want it ( ie dropped faily low and shiny 15's ) Kinda euro looking and go to a few shows this year, I'll be a happy chappy. Plus like I said before, I don't think anyone else has doen one, YET !. So if all things go well I might gatecrash R-R stand at santa pod in July !!. Cheers all, I'll let you know when the purchase has been made. J

some inspiration for Project Space Hopper : Is that an early space cruiser or what? Hotwire, I'm liking the idea, mainly cause that shape come in 'diesel' too. Plus for example take a panel van version, turn it into a crew cab ( similar to vw T4 style ) and go old school with the styling, oh the possibilities ;D Do you have a link to the gallery that the pic came from ?, Also if anyone knows the make and model of the above, if you could let me know Ta muchly.
