OK, so I know this won't appeal to ANY of you, but it might be useful to a staunchly non-retro friend or relative!
I bought this car a couple of years ago for the wife, and it's now time to upgrade!
1998 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 LSi
88,000 miles with full history, maintained regardless of cost!
1600cc 8-valve engine, so no road-burner, but the engine does have tonnes of torque, so no probs if you want to drive mini-cab style.
One of the last of the MK3 shape - this means that in their desperation to flog them Vauxhall specced-up these cars really well!
It's got:
Power steering
Anti-lock brakes
Driver's airbag
Electric windows
Tilt-slide sunroof
6-spoke 15inch alloy wheels
Full colour coding
On top of that, this car also has a 10 disc multichange cd / tape system and the braking system has been uprated with grooved and drilled EBC discs and EBC pads.
Fully HPi clear with no accidents, its a very nice runaround. V. comfy too - I've driven this car to Ireland a couple of times and it's really quite stressless.
MOT'd till april 2005.
The bad bits!
There's a couple of bits of trim to replace which I intend to do before selling. I got the bits to do it, just haven't got round to it yet!
One of the headlights is a bit duff. The dip mechanism got broken by a garage monkey - again intend to have this sorted before sale.
£1750 o-n-o!!
So there you go, nice straight reliable boring family car!
Any enquires e-mail or PM me!
