It's a rather delightful 20-year old 316
Ideal as a daily driver - Winter smoker - "starter" retro car!
The Good bits:
1800 single cam 8v engine, feels really strong with no leaks or smoking. Runs really smooth and starts first time. 105,000 miles - just run in for a Beemer!!
All feels really tight with no wobblyness in the steering / suspension
Carburettor model - less scary electronic bits to go horribly wrong!!!
5 YES 5 Cross-spoke 15 inch alloy wheels all in decent nick with good tyres... (They look like BBS, but I don't think they're the genuine article).
New(ish) Pierbug Carburettor (plus another for spare)
Rear Brakes recently overhauled
Overall the bodywork is in pretty good condition for a 22-year-old car!
Insure as a classic...
MOT AND TAX UNTIL MAY 2005!
Hell, it's cheap as chips!!
And now the not-so-good-bits!
Could use a t-cut!
Personally I'm not a fan of those chromed arches - but don't worry there's nothing scary lurking underneath!!
Small (And I mean small!) dent on nsf bonnet.
Very small tear in upholstery on rear seat (again, I'm nit picking here!)
Speedo occasionally intermittant (I will try and remedy this before sale)
Small amount of pitting on bumper Chrome
Pierburg carb (!) - while it's new and shouldn't give any problems, it might be worth swapping to a weber or similar
Needs slamming in the weeds!!!! ;D
(I can supply a full lowering kit at trade price if you like!)
There's some decent looking speakers, but no head unit!
OK, it ain't much of a speedster - more a cruising car this one.....but it's actually more relaxing than my somewhat frenetic iS!
So how much am I asking for this bargain little retro-mobile?
£500? No.
£400? No.
Yours for the bargain price of just £350! (or near offer!)
It's a deal, it's a steal, it's sale of the 'kin century!!
Car located Biggleswade, Beds (2 mins of A1)
