TEXTRenault 18 TS for sale - was on ebay but idiot bid and decided didn't want to bother coming to even see it! So here you go - quite a rare car nowadays.
Red with grey velour upholstery.
1647cc engine, 5 speed manual gearbox
HAS BEEN UNUSED SINCE 2000
so selling as a restoration project!
The bodywork is generally good HOWEVER attention WILL be required for an mot:
The sills are soft at the rear ends on both sides
Front inner wing and battery tray need attention
rear wheelarch on n/s needs attention
Mechanically, it starts, runs and drives. Indeed, started within a couple of minutes today to move to take photos - last moved approx 9 months ago! HOWEVER recommend collection on a trailer or tow hitch as the state of the brakes, pipes etc cannot be predicted after such a long storage.
Other items to note :
driver's seat stitching has come undone at side seam
one rear spring was replaced years ago by a "18 turbo" spring and is lower than it should be!
o/s headlamp is cracked and will need replacing

Only 3 previous owners. In fact we bought it off the original owner in 1993 and it has passed around the family ever since.
Original condition with original engine and original features. Been maintained but never restored.
Towbar fitted (used to tow a small caravan)
Still a smart looking car, shouldn't take much to get back on the road (hopefully!)
Very rare now - and a great 80's retro car!
