Ok, so i went to see the old fella that used to own my mk5 'tina for the last 21 years cos he had some manuals and stuff i could have. He also had a spare 2ltr engine (it is the pinto in mk5's is it not??) that he wanted me to take, but a) i don't have the room, and b) it's not really any use to me.
But he said if someone picks it up they can have it for nothing.
I think he used to be a mechanic (he must be in his 70's now). It's bolted on an engine stand and he says he's reconditioned it. It was all nicely painted too. But obviously i can't say for sure what state it's in.
He was a decent bloke anyway and i just thought someone might be interested in this as he said he would probably end up letting the scrap man come and collect it.
