not mine, a mate's, its at Sheffield.
12 Months MOT. £995
Unfortunately we have to sell our “X” reg (1981) Series III Long Wheelbase Landrover. It’s the 2.25 litre petrol version and is Ex MOD. Its got 12 months MOT on it as well. It has a genuine 56,000 odd miles on the clock as the MOD sell them off at 50,000 miles and we’ve used it to pull a horsebox around, so we’ve only put a few miles on it.
It looks just like a Ex-MOD should, i.e. paint peeling off from the 10,000 layers of paint that the squaddies have put on (olive green paint of course !), but it has had a Safari top put on it. Being a long wheel-base it drives like a tank and is excellent fun to drive. Top Speed is 60 mph no matter what, either with just me in it or towing a horsebox complete with big showjumper in it.
Its just had £300 of work done to get it through its MOT. Its got semi-off road tyres on it at the moment plus a useable spare.
What else can I say ? It’s a series III - a couple of years it stood out in a stableyard all through the winter, and when we finally got round to using it again it started on the second key turn !
Will be sorry to see it go, but if anyone is interested please e-mail me on alistairhindmarsh@yahoo.co.uk and I’ll send you photos and stuff.
