A friend of a friend is emigrating at the end of the year, so his pride and joy has to go. Worth contacting him for a ball park figure.
Details are as follows:
'67 Herald 13/60 saloon, early GE4711 with original GE engine, 66k miles, original log book, only third owner, lots of receipts. Excellent condition but currently off the road, only some reassembly and recommissioning remaining. 100% complete.
Excellent body, all welding done by Paul Cull at Triumph Auto Classique. Good gaps. No rust remaining. New parts - all seals everywhere, all poly bushes, all fuel/clutch/brake lines, front disks, rear cylinders, rear JK swing spring kit, rear overriders, front springs, front and rear dampers, pads and shoes all round, rear chassis extensions and front outriggers, driveshaft UJs, front wheel bearings, front stubs, lots more. 5 new tyres on blasted and painted Spitty 4.5" wheels. Several thousand spent.
Completed work - all exterior bodywork repainted (body original white, roof powder blue), passenger compartment and boot painted and seam sealed, underside painted, transmission complete, rear electrics in, front and rear brakes rebuilt, rear spring and front rollbar fitted, front hubs rebuilt, steering in, everything not already on the car has already been repainted.
Remaining work - fit new fuel/clutch/brake lines and master cylinders, valances, interior, petrol tank, front loom, dash, radiator, engine valances, pipes and electrics to engine, some trim, recommission engine, wax it and you're off to the MOT station. All parts provided.
It's a very solid car, looks great already, well protected underneath (Kurust then Corroless then Chassis Black) with all rust removed. It will be a really good car once complete. The remaining work is as described and I'd love to finish it but have too much to arrange for the emigration in the time remaining. It will need to be trailered. I will mail the Herald Yahoo group shortly with the same ad. I'm only looking for several hundred pounds, a fraction of what I've spent, but I'd just love to know it'll be completed. I can be reached on the number below during the day or on 01235 522755 in the evenings.
Viewings no problem.
Thanks
Jon
