Selling the turbo tank... Volvo 760 2.3 Turbo Intercooled 1989 'H' reg, Silver 182bhp(!) saloon model, 170k miles, but that's barely run in for a Volvo 700, and it's in excellent condition mechanically and bodily (no visible rust whatsoever) Top spec - Black leather interior, heated seats, air-con, ABS, leccy windows/mirrors/sunroof, central locking, headlight wash/wipe, original double DIN head unit, alloys Surprisingly powerful and quick, and also handles better than you'd expect. no, really. Just add Caravan Club sticker for Q-car effect. It's the later model facelift front and hence has teh lovely self levelling independant rear suspension - would be a superb tow car (though this car has never been fitted with towbar). Totally converted me to Volvo ownership, and only selling as we have just bought a 740 estate to carry our 15 month old twins and attendant junk about. No Tax, but MOT 'til October. £500 ono PM or forumname@hotmail.com Piccy (with more to follow):

Goes very well ;D 182bhp & 190lbft torque! 2.3 litre with a T3 turbo, intercooled and (reprogrammable) Motronic engine management. Downside is that the thing weighs 1540kg Tuning potential is surprisingly high as well - looking at touching 220bhp with boost controller, intake and exhaust. Another 10bhp if you fit a later manifold (that's with original management and turbo). 250 brake with better intercooler and chip, up to 280bhp with bigger turbo... According to Turbobricks.com and other sites anyway. Only reason I didn't tune it is that it ws the wife's car and she wouldn't let me Oh yeah, it's a manual 4+o/d too The one thing (other than 70bhp less) about our 'new' 740 that I don't like is that it doesn't have the 760's independant rear - the IRS is a lot smoother and better traction. As I said, only selling 'cos we needed an estate. Come over and have a look - you are not far away are you?

The interior and drivetrain would make a comfy-yet-interesting addition to a Dolly *n

Astoundingly cool vehicles these Volvo's. My dad has the estate 760 turbo jobbie and I reckon its class (even though his is a proper snotter). Astonishingly quick for such a gargantuan beast and surprisingly nimble too. The only downside is the frankly terrifying fuel use when you hoof it.... there's a reason why you rarely see the doing more e than 55!

More piccies: Look! Headlight wipers and everything! What more could you want? Just look at beautiful design... none of those wussy 'curves' things here Mmmm... big engine... and that's without cleaning under the bonnet at all. Can't beat a bit of black leather Notice fully electric adjustment and heating on seats. Odometer says a mere 170k miles Mmmmm... more leather... The only two significant body defects I can find - the rest is REALLY good: Slight retouching on the wing adjacent to the indicator/side light. Light scratch at top of door - may well polish out (I haven't tried) and couple of (retouched?) lines mid way down front/rear door area. Anybody want it? even though I wish we were keeping this instead of the estate

Slightly p***ed off with the price this fine car is going for (especially given what I payed for it).
But Penski's plan of action would make me feel good again ;D
