hi I'm new  , i don't have a classic car but i sure do love em!! i work at a scrappers at the weekends and sometimes in the week and i thought i'd post a list of interesting cars there that people might wish to save...  i'll keep it updated if anything else interesting comes in... for more info on a particular car or scrapper details PM me! oldest to newest... apart from the ones with no plates I'm not sure about!!! 1965 (C) MG Midget 1972 (K) Triumph Toledo 2 Door Saloon 1979 (T) Triumph TR7 1984 (A) Ford Granada Estate 2.8i 1985 (B) Ford Escort MK3 XR3i Cabriolet 1986 (C) Ford Capri (dodgy modification) 1987 (D) Ford Capri Laser 1987 (D) Ford Sierra MK1 XR4x4 1987 (D) Citroen 2CV 1987 (D) Fiat X19 1987 (D) VW Scirocco 1988 (E) VW Scirocco 1989 (F) Vauxhall Cavalier Mk2 Saloon 1990 (G) Vauxhall Astra GTE (digi-dash ;D) 1994 (L) Lancia Dedra Mini (looks mid 70's) Range Rover (looks about 1990) Triumph Dolomite Sprint Audi 200 V8 (it says A Reg but i think its a private plate!) 2 Yellow Spitfires with no roofs hope these might help someone! |

just outside of nottingham! the sprint and tr7 have been here since i can remember (started feb this year) n they're looking a bit rough the toledo came in the other week and doesnt seem to have anything taken off it yet.. doesnt look too bad (as scrap motors go ;D) also it aint stacked whereas the tr7 is on top of another car and the sprints got a mitsi lancer on top of it!  |

the midgets bad... it has pretty much sod all on it and its rusted to curse word... i dno if the shells worth a look... ill see tomorrow... its a 40 year old car though! and again, i don't know how long its been at the scrappers!

Hi there,.. this list is great, thanks,.. Old Datsuns are a particular fave for me,.. so if any come in give us a shout, I'm sure we can find homes for them. Or at least rob them of their component parts |

Podders is the most expensive scrappy in Nottingham and the guy who runs it is a right funny  , us locals won't use the place because of this. my storage is only about 10 minutes down the road. better prices and more reasonable service can be had at Lenton or just down the A52 at Albert Looms (who have a website listing their current stock) |

yeah i know what u mean hes a bit like that, i just thought id advertise the cars i think might be worth something to somebody rather than them being treated like any old scrapper (i.e. early 90's escorts etc.)... these cars need saving!! |
