Hello Everyone, I'm new to this forum. I am the webmaster at rallystuff.tk. From what I have seen of this site so far, it seems very good. We also have a forum: rallystuff.proboards44.com/index.cgiWe have a retro rally section on there, but not as large as the sections on here. Feel free to join. I own a Talbot Sunbeam Rally Replica, which I built in 2002. Here are some pics: Tallbot Sunbeam PicsI originally built it for rallying, but it is very hard to get parts for as it is a classic. So I plan to sprint it instead. Are there many rally fans on here? Thanks, Curt rallystuff

It took ages to restore. As you can see from the images, the first picture is when I bought it.
Since then I changed the arches, completly reformed the interior to make it full rally spec.
As I am still only 16 I cant wait to sprint it. The venues ive got planned this year are Castle Coombe and Curborough.
However I'm still hoping on rallying this year in some form or another.

The original engine was a 1.4. My dad used to own a Hillman Imp. Looked just like the one on your avatar.
I also own a Peugeot 205 XE, but its nothing to brag about. Needs a lot of work.
I'm not yet finished with the Sunbeam yet though. I still want to fit it with a Sunbeam Lotus 2.2 engine. However I cannot find a good one in my price range at the moment.

hello matey, welcome to the forum.nice car.when i was 16 i wanted a mk2 ecsort.so i bought a 1.3 popular plus.what a bag o sh*te, but how i loved that car.hand painted in invalid carriage blue, the drivers door dropped 3 inches when you opened it,the back of the drivers seat had been burned off in a welding accident before i got it but it was ace.learned a lot about going sideways.practiced at every available opportunity(only when it rained or snowed ha ha. ;D a sunbeam has always been on my "to have"list but sadly ive never had one,and probably never will.

You should visit: However, don't visit it just yet, its under construction. Anything you see on there at the moment has not been updated for the past 6 months. But on there you can find a lot of Sunbeam enthusiasts.

at the moment its just a 1.6L Ti engine. However, I'm hoping to fit it with a Lotus 2.2 220bhp. The exact one they used to win the 1981 WRC Manufacturers Title.

Christ, that must be one well-paid paper round you've got! Welcome! I think your Sunbeam rocks! I spent literally minutes salivating over it at RCS2004

Hello mate nice looking car one of my mate`s is on building a sunbeam rally car with a 1.4 k series and home made injection system. ;D
another has just been buying a bare shell project with a 1.6 engine that was supposed to be putting out around 100bhp@ the wheels. He also has a mk2 avenger rally car with a toyota 4age engine and a mk1 avenger historic rally car.. He just bought the mk1 its painted in the works colours. And supposedly it has only been used as a show car. The whole car looks brand new ;D
