seems to me he is a bit strident with his terms and conditions...maybe that is why with 19 hours to go he has no bids on it yet. wouldn't there be some way of checking out if it is stolen using the engine or chassis number?

Maybe he's just misunderstood I dunno, I wouldn't go near it but then I always think the worst of people's motives. I doubt it's stolen, if that car has had as much work done on it as the ad says it has (and it does look pretty smart) then it would be a stupid thing to do, the previous owner would be bound to see the ad

I don't think its nicked - the HPI check would have thrown that up. And being a non-standard Triumph colour, it would be pretty distinctive if it had been re-reg'd to sell it. Not having the V5 isn't the end of the world, but it does cost £20 for a new one. It certainly doesn't prove whether the car is nicked or not. The chap's conditions are pretty strict - but after dealing with some of the w*nkers that inhabit Ebay these days, I'd say he's got a point. I have one -buscuit who has come up witha different excuse for sending me a cheque for £10 for two weeks. He's going to get neg'd very soon and the part relisted, but the aggro really pisses you off after a while. By setting out some clear rules, at least everyone knows what they are getting into. Finally check out the seller's feedback - pretty impressive.... Looks like a nice car too.

Just cos something is good for you doesn't mean its good for everyone - for example Marmite does not make good Dog Food.

yeah. He's probably just trying to shave off the timewasters and cretins! Still he could lighten up a bit and try to put the attitude in context.
I agree anyone selling such a distinctive stolen car on e-bay would have to be a bit of a twit!
