Thing is, prices of 318iS's seem to be on the up of late.
It seems that folk out there have suddenly just twigged what a class car they are...
They handle better than a 6-potter, are almost as quick as the top-spec 325's, have a far more "sporty" feel and are hella lot cheaper atm, and are pretty similar to the M3 in many respects (esp. the suspension / brakes dept.). Oh and they don't guzzle fuel like a 325 will!
I've seen them going for £3.5k++ in the BMW mags of late, and a few nice ones have sold on eBay for over £3k

yeh the 6 pot in mine weighs a ton can understand why the 318is and m3 handle much better
isnt the m42 a bit expensive when it goes wrong?
i personally wouldnt pay that much for any of the e30's
its have to be an alpina or a hartge to get me get anywhere near ££k or £4k
and £2k is a bit much for me to.
only reason i paid what i did is cos i realised i could sell bits of it when i want rid and make more back;D
