Are we doing this again or is everyone going up Saturday night this year ? I`ll be heading up Sunday Morning and know a great cross-country route for those that don't fancy the roadworks on the M25 and M1 Let me know if anyone is going or I`ll travel up with the Turbosport lot instead ;D

Cross country route? Is it smooth? I think I'd prefer the M25/M1 route personally.

Arggh 7am!!!! Would really love to meet up with you guys as we'll be headed straight up the M1 from J2. Not sure if we'll be able to get out of the house early enough though. We have talked about coming in two cars in which case I could leave early and Katie could bring Isabel up later but I'm not sure. Would need another car pass for that one Roadworks around Luton on the M1 are a bit of a curse word but then cruising is all about driving slow... and there certainly won't be any traffic that time of the morning. Will have to have a word with Katie....

Be aware as well that there are major works on the 25 around the junction with the A10.

How long does it take to get to the pod from Thurrock? normal cars at normal speeds I'd say a couple of hours, me myself I think I'm looking at about 3 hours, it was for this reason and the fact that I havn't arranged any ticket yet, that I was just going to cruise up on my own anyway. But if you guys don't mind pootling along at slow speeds then I'm for the cruise. Then again you can always just go and leave me to get there on my own, Ill meet up with y'all at the pod. MR HW, alright for me to join the mass RR carpark like last year?

From here (NW London) it takes about 1 hour 20 ish if I remember right. From Thurrock I would guess it'd be about 1 3/4 at reasonable speed (ie 65ish). It kinda depends what time you want to get there. I don't want to hold anyone up but reckon we can get going from here about 8.30 which would mean meeting up the M1 somewhere (or possibly South Mimms) around 9 ish for a 10 ish arrival. Talked to Katie last night and she really doesn't want to have to drive there on her own with Isabel as she doesn't know the way etc. Don't think any of the roadworks will be a problem at that time of the morning. If this is too late for you guys then no-probs, we'll make our own way.

I know I started this one but I think I am going to head up cross country early, possibly with Imreallyslowme(except when I am in a V6 Turbo 4x4 Van) to miss teh traffic or with some of the TS lot who live on route I do the trip oop north(Well it is from southend) every week and the M25 roadworks and the M1 road works are a PITA whatever time of day So now I go Via the A507 which is a lovely reasonably quick and twisty route, and far more fun than the 20mph Motorway shuffle ;D So I guess we`ll see you guys up there ;D HW ..... pm me a Number as I havent got it and havent ordered tickets or anything, so if you have a Car pass that would be usefull ;o) Cheers Dom
