my mate bruisercapri is organising a mass dyno shootout with oldbird and some local clubs. it will be on sunday 17th of september. we are gathering together the acton hotrod assoc., suffolk capri club, kings lynn capri club, old skool retro car club, possibly anglia mini club and with any luck, some of the posters on here its not just about running up on the dyno, there will be a BBQ and we'd like to have a meet and greet in the trading estate outside the dyno centre (its sunday= no park cars other than us). on the dyno we have confirmed 4 from the scc, the chairman of the ahra, bruisercapri and spacekadett. we need at least 10 confirmed places before the dyno will entertain us (it is a sunday!), please could any definate dyno runners let me know, as we will need some up front cash at some stage. its £35 for 3 power runs, thats about £15-20 saving. if your unsure until the last minute, you can bring your £35 down on the day and they will fit you in. it has to be this way as they have been screwed by clubs not turning up for they're booking (they don't work weekends). also stick your name down for the meet and greet, so we have some idea of who might turn up. the dyno is at lorven performance services theres even a pic of ahra's dex (the pop) on that page . it at martelsham heath near ipswich, off the a12, nice and easy to find. theres a map on the contact us page. be there or b 2

I'd be up for attending too - trying to get to grips with why the Monza isn't performing properly - think one of the ignition maps is a bit screwy!!!

hey guys and gals i know there's more of you out there who have interesting things you could put on a rolling road ;D we need some more names to help boost the numbers up. and if you don't want to put your car on the rollers come to our show and shine anyway because that part is going to be free ;D but please let either myself or old bird know if you want to come along! the more we get there the better and longer the day will be oh yeah, sorry one more thing it's only 2 power runs for the £35 . i don't know whether this is good or bad never having done a rolling road before :-/so i'll leave it up to you guys, whatever happens i'm gonna be there ;D

Thats - A bloody long day for the operators - A heck of a lot of set ups I will definately do my best to be there

Do I want to go to this? Or should I continue my ostrich-head-in-the-sand attitude. I think I might cry when I discover just how many rampaging horses have escaped from my engine over the last 16 years....

I'll be there....we could have a "16-year-old car shootout" ;D Actually, my car is not going near the rollers. It sounds nice and that's enough for me!

Think this is the time to see whether the resist0r of phear works or not P.P.S should I stick this up in the OSF forum?

I think I might cry when I discover just how many rampaging horses have escaped from my engine over the last 16 years.... just come down for the get-together then. if you do go on the rolling road, my works are 30-45 mins away. reasuring, if you blow the zimmer up the works 2.7 mule may make an appearance tigran- link it up if you want. I might have to pay a visit to OSF, and see what happens over there.

cool, nice to see we are getting some interest in our little rolling road day ;D even if you can't or don't want to go on the rollers it would be good to see some of you guys in the flesh so to speak so please the more the merrier ;D. just one other thing on a slightly more serious note ideally we need to have the cash up front before the shoot-out. sorry if this is an inconvenience but as bodie & doyle has already said we've got to have a minimum amount or they won't entertain us. also we would like this by about the 10th of september if poss then we will have a good idea of how many are coming ps if you want to stick it up on any other forums please do so, then it should make it a day to remember(if anyone wants to call me about it my mob is 07799712068) thanks

There is a link to the rolling road website, as they have a checklist for people wishing to put their cars on the rollers, please read it. Most of the points are common sense, but I have been asked to make people aware of them. www.lpsauto.com/display_page.php?i=14

right guys some more info on whats happening during the day, the guys at LPS are concerned that whoever has got to run the bbq is going to be vastly overworked ( i tend to agree with them on this) so they are inviting a burger(etc) van along which will be subsidised by LPS for us also the owner of which just happens to be a petrol head as well! ;D mankee cheng from 'practical performance car' will be making an appearance with his camera and a notepad and also putting his little peugeot on the rollers ;D last but not least we now know the limits of how many cars we can get on the rollers LPS say that about 25 on the day will probably be about the limit though they may be able to stretch to 30 possibly more ;D, it depends on how the day goes. so the sooner we have some definite names then we can sort out payment through paypal or something
