sorry to bring you bad news ,but another classic has been stolen.its a friend of mines from the imp club.it was stolen from outside his garage in southampton between the 28th may and 2nd june.
its a red sunbeam stilletto (imp coupe) and the police have been informed.
this is what the owner has told me about the car;
Car is RED, is lowered and fitted with modern-style alloy wheels. These may have been replaced as only 3 were present due to a previous puncture, so a standard wheel was on one corner. It has a standard Imp engine cover as I had the original stored away after repairing a small dent in it. Near side has an air intake fitted forward of the rear wheel-taken from a Fiat X/19. Fitted by previous owner I might add and I always planned to remove this! It has been properly fitted into the panel I.e. it isn`t superficial, but nothing was ever done to direct any air into radiator! A 3 dial pod is fitted on the top of the dash in the centre, amps, oil pressure and vaccum. It is an original period accessory and I always got comments from other owners about this, as I did about the aluminium kick plates on the door pockets, very rare, Fitted with a standard Imp passenger seat, but has a Wolfrace bucket seat in the passenger side, which had fallen apart due to sun damage, so may have been replaced also. The car was parked outside a garage I rent in Southampton. Was registered SORN, parked on private land that very few people know about, unless you were a resident, or rented one of the other 7 garages. Quite an upmarket area, but one of the neighbours did say some `undesireables` had taken over a vacant house nearby and had caused some disruption in the area. Anyway I hold little hope of seeing the car again, but anywhere you can put this info would be greatly appreciated
any info just drop me a pm
