Rare indeed! Police caught the scum that ripped both locks off my MR2 and destroyed the ignition only to find the engine wasnt wired in. They didnt get sent down or ordered to pay any compensation I had a mk3 1.1 Fezza. It too was broken into ;D

Rare indeed! Police caught the scum that ripped both locks off my MR2 and destroyed the ignition only to find the engine wasnt wired in. Lardyforehead from this forum had his metro turbo broken into and the ignition buggered, they failed to realise the raised height of the front of the car due to the omission of an engine. He unbolted the steering wheel when the car was left in future.

Had someone try to nick a Mk2 XR2 from outside the house a few years ago...3 flat tyres, no inlet manifold or carb and no battery, they'd even started to try and push the bloody thing off the front!.

Some local retard broke into my mates old clio weasle. Smashed a window to find there was nothing inside worth taking (he had taken the stereo out). The joke was, it was unlocked! (the headgasket had blown so he dumped it behind is house)

The stupidity of these f*****g idiots never ceases to amaze me. I can't believe that some of these people are not on crack when they are doing things like this, and that they were just born that dumb!!!
Stealing a car, fair enough, some time in the slammer. Trying to steal a car that has no engine, by smashing a window of a door that is unlocked: death penalty. Remove them from the gene pool before they can spawn any more retarded inbred offspring.

We can't blame the Police for crappy sentences dished out by the courts. Count yourself lucky they got the little Sh1ts. Seems most get away with it these days. Was there much damage?

I'd've just gone for a good steering wheel lock myself. It's nice and obvious. If someone REALLY wants a car, there isn't much you can do but a steering lock can be enough to deter the opportunist.

Isn't it insured then?
£500 for an immobiliser that would cost £400 to replace is just bonkers?

no its not. the immobiliser was £80, the rest of the repairs added up.
no point scrapping a car that has nothing major wrong with it is there, just a waste, its a great little car that does a million miles to the gallon, swmbos nan has owned it since new and has 30k on it, why get rid and get a new crappy one with more mileage
