I may be moved house by the summer, but you finish with a pint with us. We only live 15 miles away from Mallory Park. (but you'll have to ask Mrs Maz nicely!)

again a good tip there!
the heritage motor centre isn't the museum which is the "home of brum"is it?? that also is in stratford isn't it???
another question is... which radio station should we tune into for some good old eighties rock... over here we always listen to arrow classic rock on 675 AM but they only cover up to London I think..

If you got to Cirencester, you may as well scoot over to Tetbury - loads of nice pubs and very picturesque. Great Cotswold driving roads, too

while you're cruising over to Southampton you should go via Portsmouth and check out HMS Victory and the D-Day museum. then round to Poole just cos its nice.
On a more serious note, if its great roads you're after, why not cruise across the south coast then cut up to cotswalds and then Bath, then go across into Wales and up through the middle of Wales and come out at chester, and go chester- Liverpool - manchester
Then you've visited another country and they have some awesome scenery in Snowdonia. come out at chester, on to Liverpool, on to manchester, yaddah yaddah yaddah then onward and upward to the lake district, again some of the finest roads,
then straight across to North yorkshire, even finer roads, check out whitby and then go down to York, check out some Vikings and everything else in York (one of the coolest places in England to visit I reckon) then down the M1 to Mallory Park.

Yeah, Welsh roads are probably the finest the UK has to offer.

we only have two weeks, so not to stress things and having heard of the scenery in the lakes district we wanted to go there.. but if the roads in wales are better than the lakes district it's an option...

Its on the way to Betws-y-coed. They always seem to stop around there. All the roads in mid Wales are great.

Not got my tourist guide head switched on, but there is stuff to see, in Manchester, yourkshire, and If I were you i'd keep going UP north, lake district, cumbria is beautiful, if you keep going, Scotland is great too, not forgetting North east man, Nice quiet roads further North, beautiful some car museums in cumbria too, and lovely chill out lakes and farm shops. BTW if you are due Manchester. Start a thread in EVENTS section and a few of us will come along for a chat, I'll warn you though I am (virtually) embarassingly monolingual. ;D Ciao

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

Hi Berendd Indeed it was very good to meet you on the Friday evening..... even if your were rather tipsy/drunk ;D Don't think i've ever met anyone who has been so enthusiastic about my car! One day i'll have to see your Derby in the metal. Shame I didn't get to meet up with you during the day Btw I tried to post a message on your Trunk Society forum saying something similar to the above, but it kept throwing me out
