Aye it works, i had it in my 1972 Mercedes, but took it out after selling the Merc on ebay (still miss that car  ) |

I've got a gutter mount roofrack here - old 60's kinda thing - 2 mounts for the gutter, and it sits on little rubber feet onto the roof
