some feedback on the spring nats.
Friday:
we left at 1:30, me in the manta wayne in a mk2 escort and his g/f beckie in a mk1 fiesta.
4 hours later we arived after getting lost trying to avoid the M5 toll (which we wouldn't have had to pay anyway)
on the way i played dixie to the men playing golf at the masters which didn't go down well.
arived at 5 where the beers started flowing and the tents went up.
at 8 we went to the bar and stayed there into the early hours of the morning.
saturday
8am we woke to find lots and lots of rain but that didn't stop us lot
after a bbq and a couple of beers we left for the cruise at 12.
to be part of a 300 car cruise is quite something.
got back about 3 and chilled/caught up on sleep.
8pm is when the party started, live band and lots of beer makes for a good night.
went to sleep about 2 knowing i had to be up at 8 to park all the cars on the show field which was more like a swimming pool.
sunday
the smell of bacon woke me at 7:30 which is the perfect hangover cure
at 9 we started parking cars and by 11 the sun was shining and the was aabout 500 cars turned up and it made for a good show.
the trophy i made (two pistons crossed from my blown up triumph 1500) went to a V8 viva with some s h i t hanging out of the bonnet.
at 5 we packed up and went home.
best weekend i have had for a which and because i parked the cars on sunday i get on the guest list at the Nats!!! bonus
loads of pics going on the website in the next couple of days so check it out.
