Sorry to post this here but I am really stuck and curse word off!
Those horrible rotters paypal have restricted my account for no reason. I have sold 2 items on ebay, both of which were paid for via paypal.
Shortly after the second payment was sent, my account was blocked and the funds are in limbo! I spent 40 minutes on the phone to them (which was a waste of time) and have sent an email demanding that they refund the buyers so they can pay via or means (cheque etc).
Are they likely to send the refunds? Also, is there any way that the buyers could take the payment back? They are both sitting in the account and I have made no attempt to transfer to my bank account.
Any advice appreciated!
Llewelyn

What explanation did they give on the phone?

Basically most of the call was me being on hold. They explained how to refund the buyers, which won't work, and explained that they have forwarded my problems to the resolution centre. Thats about it really!

it sounds like the buyers complained they hadnt received their goods, can you view your paypal statement?

No its nothing like that - I think its because I received 2 payments, totally nearly £400, on the same day as opening the account. There is no buyer disputes or any problems with that side of things at all! I have contacted the buyers about this and they are both understanding which is nice.

God knows! Its annoying though! I have managed to refund the buyers just now but the account is still useless. I only wanted it so I could buy stuff from the states etc! :-(
Oh well!

its fair enough they suspend an account if the activity is suspicious. Theres so much cack with hijacked accounts they have to do something.
Not so much "boyfriends", eBay bought Paypal.
funkula - sad to say I think you are just going to have to work through their resolution centre thingy.
Paypal is not a bank or a credit card or anything like that so it manages not to be regulated by the FSA or anything like that. You can only get recourse through Paypal itself.
Thats why I only trust it with small amounts of money
