I didn't see a Skoda?
I did see some review of various random Russian and Polish cars, dropping a Polonez pickup from a crane, banger racing a Lada Riva against a Marina, and then setting fire to said Morris.
All in all very entertaining, but I'm sure we'll soon hear the wail of 'Oh noes, they wrecked some perfectly good retros"

I had to laugh at that Fiesta roadtest! Pretty good viewing tonight!
But wasn't the lada a 1990 and the marina much older? Not really a fair test. lol. Lada v's Maestro would have been fairer! lol

Really? For something that was still obviously legal 32 years after it was registered that bit really angered me. And I think Marinas are shat, too.

this board is naturally gonna get agitated when tv shows destroy retros, but its bound to happen so probably best just enjoy the show and forget about it, anyone who buys a car is entitled to do what they like with their property i reckon and i'm sure they didnt twist anyones arm to buy them.

This is the first TG I've watched in ages. The Fiesta road test was great, really amusing. Shame about the Marina and Lada but what can ya do, hey? And the Caterham looked insane fun!

I thought it was another great episode personally. The Veritas film was beautifly shot, Boris was funny, communist cars piece was great even though I did wince slightly when they burnt out the Marina (even if it was proven to be rubbish) Fiesta piece was epic, very, very funny and just goes to show why Top Gear is one of the world's most watched TV shows.

Lada v's Maestro would have been fairer! lol If TG were a factual infotainment programme like it was in the days of William Woolard, Michelle Newman and Chris Goffey then maybe the test would be invalid. But who cares? It was just a bit of fun, a pair of journo's got paid to cock about with some decrepit old tat and make everyone laugh.....and on that level, it worked, I laughed my b0ll0cks off. Is it me, or is Captain Slow developing a latent competitive streak in his middle age? And the Vette leaving number 11's in BHS.....class. ;D

Some funny bits. I thought the Fiesta bit was just too sarcastic and a bit bland and predictable. The Boris Johnston interview was funny, but it wouldn't make me too optimistic about voting for him, if I was in London.

Love the Fiesta test, and the tail out Marina action. Did anybody else catch the complaint 'letter' author- should have been Chris Goffey not Needell ;}

I just caught the end (well, had to watch an Austin Healey in action on the other side! ) and I have to say, Ford must be pretty chuffed with the public display of how the Fiesta copes with driving through the sea!

Great stuff, the Marina vs. Lada had me ROFFLING like a gimp, and given that exact spec of Marina is the earliest car I have memories of (e.g. crying toddler when it had to go to the garage), it musta been good. Plus the closing piece to camera in the Fiesta bit, a-la Willam Woolyjumper leg cocked on the bumper was a nice touch.
9/10
