It's almost going to be a shame to put an engine in that nice tidy engine bay, but I expect it will be clean enough to eat your dinner off when you do.

Wow, your Kadett is really nice. lots of work there. Coincidently, this is the paint I was putting on mine the other day. Orange is ace! excuse the dust on the camera lens! Keep up the good work on yours, Stu.

thx!! for now, lots of filling and sanding on the side and roof. I have to hurry cause it's getting pretty cold outside... friend of mine came by last week to remove the biggest dents out of de wheelarch and the roof. primed the trunk lid, sandblasted the fuel cap and primed as well. and been very busy removing all of the paint from the roof, what a job, glad it's over

I've still got a tonne of work to do on my roof, not looking forward to it. But it's waterproof and looks okay from a distance so it'll have to do until warmer weather. Good plan getting yours sorted out now, at least you'll have opportunity to get more of that sunshine paint on it.

Just stumbled across this thread by accident I applaud your fantastic work! I'm working on a Kadett for my wife - after discovering the 577th rusty hole, I got a bit despondent. After reading this thread, my enthusiasm is back ;D Just ordered a MiG, and told the wife her car will be ready by December 12th. Hahahahaha P.s Don't need an original tow hitch for that trailer do you?

thx but already have a tow hitch and looks really nice your (wife's) kadett! always happy when people's enthusiasm is back after seeing my project haha some progress made btw, small update but took me almost two weeks I guess... So second sidepanel is finished, and bought some GREY (not yellow ) epoxy primer... Coverage after first layer where the yellow was still see through after 5... Wasn't really satisfied with the boot lid so sanded it again, spray fillered and primed again, muuuch better next thing on the list is the roof and that's should be about it on the outside

Now you're just showing off But seriously, I'm constantly amazed at how much energy and time you're sinking into the preparation, it's going to look better than new when you're done.
