Can anyone help me? I've got a paypal acount and only used it on E bay before, so when i buy something it just gets paid off on my credit card.
I now want to buy something from a forum member on WillamsClio, but it says my account is £0.
Basicaly do i nedd to put money in my PP account to but said item or will it just show up on my Credit card bill, but then i guess the seller won't get paid till pay off my CC bill.
Confused and maybe a little stupid ;D thanks.

surely the payment will go throuht straght away because the CC company are lending you that money. then you pay your CC bill later.

Confused and maybe a little stupid ;D thanks. send the payment as normal, through paypal 'send funds' button, (ive heard that if the cash is sent as 'a gift', theres no paypal fees, but I havent tried this) the payment will come from your credit card in the normal way. if the seller sends a payment request, YOU will have to pay the fees, that normally the seller would pay.

In my experience if you send it as a gift the seller doesn't get charged fees, but you have no comeback if the item is wrong or they rip you off - been there

in my experience, no comeback anyway with Paypal! (Been done by em three times)
I presume they started doing the personal payment option after a severe ticking-off from the FSA for ripping people off on totally automated transactions that cost them zilch (coming from peoples' existing balances)
