Yes it's the N10 model - bloody hell you guys are good!
It's the yellow one (coupe) with a big sun roof thing (my bumblebee!)
I live in Birmingham and to be honest I saw some Alpha Romeo alloys which looked awesome BUT I've been told by some tyre guy that those alloys won't fit the Dastun (shame!!!!) I want to spend about £120
I will take pics once Ive placed some alloys on it.
By the way how do I find out the paint colour code (YELLOW) for this car and where do I get it from, as I've had very little bodywork done on it and I'd like to paint it FINALLY does anybody know how many of these cars are left in the UK?
Thanking you all.
Alfas have a different stud pattern to your N10.
They normally have a PCD (Pitch Circle Diameter, the distance between opposite studs on your wheel) of 4 x 98 mm, 5 x 98 mm or 5 x 108mm
As you've said your N10 is is 4 x 114.3mm. Is it FWD? You need to get a set of wheels that are of roughly the same offset as your steels, else you'll get a lot of bump steer and will chew through wheel bearings.
RWD cars typically have a different offset to FWD cars.
Offset (or inset) is the distance in mm that the middle of the wheel is from an imaginary centre line, if the wheel is viewed head on (as opposed to face on)/
FWD cars typically have a minus offset, RWD stuff a positive.
Offset can be compensated for to a certain extent with spacers.
Spacers can also be had as wheel stud adaptors which will change the PCD off the wheel hub to another fitting. Dunno if anyone makes a 4 x 98 to 4 x 114.3mm adaptor though!
Particularly popular (within the VW world) are the VW - Porsche adaptors that change a standard 4 x 100mm PCD to a 5 x 130 PCD, so you can whack a set of 928 Teledials on your Mk2 Golf, for the hell of it
Normally most Japanese cars have their paint code somewhere on a label within the engine bay. I would try looking on the underside of the bonnet, the firewall \ bulkhead, and on the inner wings. Any Halfords worth their salt should be able to match it up for you.
Will Lightburn (username 'Datman') will probably be able to provide survival figures for you.
He also has a DOC owners forum which might help you with parts enquiries:
