Ah guess should update this a bit! photos at lunch I promis.
Well update is, MOT check following some adjustment to the stearing rack, play atthe top for some reason, need to look into that closer! but it can wait till next year, hehe!
Oh other exciting news, been on a RR to get an guess at the BHP. that was err well, apart from when it was strapped down it scrubbed the rear wheels in the arches (lots of smoke!) and burning throught one of their straps (Hmmm cowboys), but the it was a cheepy run at a car show, just to get a starting figure 99.3BHP. Thats fine for me!

Hi, been reading your build and it looks cool! I'm doing my own fast herald at the moment. Where did you get the roll cage?

I know I'm hopless. . .
Roll cage was brought from a chap who used to oval race a herald, took me about 6 months to find one for it. best chance of getting one is contacting triumph suppliers and just asking around. try at the TSCC this year as well, hope to see you there.

Alex - they stop it fine but in sprited driving they can seem a bit weak. a set of GT6 fronts with a servo will be installed when I have time.
Seth, I believe my 99 ish at the fly but I think it's a bit of a dubious result. Track time at RRG10 to find out??

Which diff do you use? some one said to me the one to have is the spitfire 1500 diff. I've got to get the running gear and engine sorted for mine before i put the body back on. Did you get the std herald prop moded?

Not checked in on this thread for a while, looking good! Black paint and black wheels are a top combination in my book! Sitting nice'n'low doesn't hurt either! Any more plans for it?

Thanks for asking, not really plans for this currently are slim as it's in daily use. I am looking to having a sorted rotary built in time, otherwise I just hope to be fitting the carpets back when the new gearbox tunnel arrives (!)
A bit more paint work won't go amiss, and perhaps when I have a bit of time I'll quieten the exhaust down a bit as well, it gets excessive when in daily use.

Always love this car..this just looks so cool - and it is I'm sure the only rotary powered Herald ever? I have seen a few spitfires on the net but not Heralds.

Well the usual sprited drive was ruined thismorning, ater letting the engine warm up I make a nice shift down to overtake and clunk, grind and loss of drive.
Engine still fine, prop atttached reverse still ok so it look's like new gearbox time!
POO!
