Time, money and reality have all caught up with me, and I've realised that I'm just never going to get round to finishing the V8, so it's suffering the same fate as so many other 'projects' and it's up for sale.
It's basically a standard 190e 2.6 rolling chassis in reasonable condition. The door cards are all peeling as they do, there's a *tiny* little bit of rust on the rear passenger side arch, there's a few tiny dinks on the body, stonechips on the front of the bonnet, wings and a pillars. The jacking points aren't too hot either and would probably need welding soon, although they do still lift the car ok! Interior is grey cloth in good nick with no rips,
It's got a Toad Ai606 alarm with full installation certification, electric windows/sunroof (slides but doesn't tilt)
Obviously there is no engine or box, but pretty much everything else is there. It's still down as a 2.6 on the logbook, I never got round to changing it, so it would be ideal if someone had a box/engine knocking about. It used to be a manual, but I put an 'auto' pedal box in ready for the conversion. Pretty sure I've still got the 'manual' bits somewhere.
As for price, it's now just scrap to me, so give me £100 and it's yours (I'd guess it's worth about £60-£70 scrap as it's at £90 a ton round here!).
If no-one wants the whole thing, I'm willing to break it for spares, let me know what you want! If not, it'll be off to the crusher within a couple of weeks. If you want pics of anything, let me know and I'll do my best. If you want the wheels, it'll have to be a swap - don't care what for as long as they're round and I can bolt them on.
It's been a really hard decision to make for me, especially as this was my first ever car (I bought it almost 9 years ago now, within a month of passing my test!), but the decision is made and it's up for grabs.
I've also got 2 sets of Merc SLK 6-spoke 16" wheels (8" rear, 7" front, or 1 set of all 8" and 1 set of all 7" if you prefer! lol), £60 per set and a Hella rear spoiler with brakelight that I'll let go for £20.
Oh, no, you can't drive it home, and it has no MOT or Tax - it is Sorned until May/July though
And as I'll always remember it..... With a V8 under the bonnet.

Forgot to say it has been lowered with brand new -40mm springs on the front, original 'sportline' springs on the rear but I do have the new rear springs which are included. I seem to remember one of the rear dampers is shot too...
