whinge bin - how does it work ?

the XR2 bumper thread was edited to show it was moved to the whinge bin, but it just appears in chat as a duplicate thread just below the original, is this right ?

Since when it wasn't made by Microsoft and shipped with the MS OS, really. something like 85% of the browsers in use in the world are a flavour of IE. Many website authors use MS extensions which are IE specific. It causes bugging with their sites on browsers which don't use the full MS Extension Set. if proboards uses MSEx then non-IE browsers could bug on it. However as the "frontpage reload" bug seems only to affect IE browsers I'm going to guess not.

For how ace Firefox is supposed to be, there always seems to be a load of its users on Internet forums saying pages don't work/look right on it.

Got to admit your Bang on, with that one. The percentage of IE users has dropped well below 85% dude, as of 2007 it was 73% in europe alone and most of that is because its shipped it the O/S.

IE is playing catchup feature wise, all the developers I know of (quite a few) base development around FF/Chrome/Opera/Safari.

ahh and I don't see any issues on all of my systems be them WINBLOWS or Linux, both running various flavours of Browser.

Ive looked at this with both my pc's. One running Linux and Firefox and the other running XP and Firefox. It doesnt show on either of mine. It must be something else, a setting you have turned on maybe?

Firefox "is" a standard browser, in the way that it's complient with the internet standards.
IE uses Microsoft standards, which are not internet complient standards.

Interesting then that Acid2 runs fine in IE8 ... it is a bit backwards to bash IE on standards complience. In terms of Dev tools it is out of the box much better than Firefox, and every bit as extendable.
