Matt, Lee..... The plan is to keep the valve hidden in the inside, so what if you need to check and inflate upside down, it will look good in the end.
Still looking for rims closer before I start.
Or some transport from V8Lee's place closer to Kent, or Rochester.

Update time. Got lucky this week. CortinaDale offered me a set of decent Capri Laser steels, without tyres for decent money. Oldbus was here again on a roadtrip, and hapened to be just down the road from Santa Pod, so Dale kindly dropped the wheels off, and Dave delivered them to my place. Now the next trick will be to remove just the steel hoops form the Capri steels, and then the hoops from the original set of 100E wheels, after which the old centres and new hoops have to be united and welded up by myself, or a coded welder.... erm, coded it is then this time. After which I will add some decent 165 or even 175 rubber to them and then onto Myrtle. Progress is progress after all. Next to the old steels, gives an idea of the difference. Look at the dish potential.

Ohhh, Rian, make sure you get them square and balanced if your going to do it yourself. They'll wobble like a right jolly pain in the backside if they're out by just a tadge (don't want to state the obvious) Anyway, good work dude, and they'll look awesome! Also, check this out....... cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=150355406552Are you thinking of a rotary for the 100e or the TT??

Just another mad idea in my head..... I do not have storage space that is free, or silly cheap, but it would be a 300e , which is the panelvan of the Anglia.... however, they do not come up much. Patina, steels, roll..... ;D

Had 08.30 MOT appointment this morning..... By 09.30 I was home with a fresh MOT till next year. This little car just keeps on giving. The tester was all over it like a rash after the test, taking pics of the engine bay, interior , underside etc, as it had never been welded, he reckons it is unbelieveably neat. Again, nice to know it was a good investment in a hobby that usually eats more money than it returns. Billericay car show next weekend, and also guest of honour on Saturday at Nicola's Neice's wedding ;D ;D ;D

Today started good, with the Anglia passing it's MOT test with flying colours. I then came home had brekkie and proceeded to clean the car with some industrial sized paper roll, cleaning some of the Waxoyl off the flat paint surfaces etc, starting with the engine bay. I fitted a new Ignition Coil last week, bought for ยฃ27, and proceeded to crack one of the terminals while tightening the small nut holding the negative cable. Today, I managed to break it off completely, The following pics will show just what a flawed and weak design it is, and made me wonder how many people have paid for a second coil because they broke the first one. Anyway, at 12.45, I tried to call Small Ford spares who supplied the one I managed to break.... no reply Called Colin, my local factor, No he said, none in stock, ยฃ27 was a good price, he could not match it. Being who I am, I thought "Sod it I can try fix it" ...... pics show it not as easy to do.... but I figured out the terminal was hollow and held the wire from inside the coil in place with a drop of solder from the top..... so I warmed up the soldering iron, melted the solder and pulled the wite out, next I cleaned the hole, straigtened the tip of the wire poking out, and trid to solder a drop onto it, or even to unite it with the broken bit.... no luck. I then prayed and filled the terminal with solder, melted it, and pushed it over the little tip, holding it long enough to set,and checked the resistance ( I know nothing about auto electrics) and found there was still something happening. Lastly, I cut up the packaging of the new soldering iron, and taped it around the body of the coil and created a box around the terminal and filled it all with fast setting epoxy resin..... gets hot man. I also protected the thread of the terminal and then filled it, next up I did the rest of it. Lastly, cleaned and re-fitted it all to the car, and drove it back to Nicola's place. The car has been called into wedding service for next weekend.... do not ask me, ask Nicola. Thank goodness for patience and wanting to use the money elsewhere. Pics:Broken the initial view. Resin cast. All the resin done. Re-fitted. Started alright too.

Brilliant. A little bit of ingenuity never goes far wrong. That ยฃ27 is much better off in your pocket than someone else's!

Brilliant. A little bit of ingenuity never goes far wrong. That ยฃ27 is much better off in your pocket than someone else's! Interestingly, I am off to \Disasterbus's place at 07.00 tomorrow to fetch a mountain bike, 62 miles there and the same back, which at 15p/mile for the company car, takes up about ยฃ18 of the saving I made in petrol costs. So, yes, I am indeed ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Will see over time now if the connection I bodged does work in the long term. ( I trust it will)

Thanks Doctor. Afrikaans is indeed a greatly descriptive language. I often laugh alone, because the meaning is so lost in translation.

Took out the radiator after work on Monday afternoon before shooting down to Brighton for 2 days. Nicola has taken it in to be recored, along with 12mth guarantee. I also ordered new rad hoses and heater hoses this morning as the heater hoses look very suspect, and the bottom radiator hose felt quite hard. So old ones for spare, and fresh hoses alround. Not the best clothes for removing any car parts, but I am just like that. Hole in the belly.
