My first run... whoops! ;D
Not braking, not accelerating, around I go!
And the 5th and 6th runs were the other two interesting ones, see if you can work out why?
Big thanks to Ian for all his organisation and keeping it flowing so well, it was better than many motor club organised events. Also to everyone who took part for being sensible, it could so easily have turned to carnage!

Also to everyone who took part for being sensible, it could so easily have turned to carnage! Sensible isn't a word I'd have used for most of my runs! Hopefully someone got a video of me over driving! Thanks to everyone again, I had a great time and can't wait till next year, or the next RR track day I can make it to! ;D

was good to meet you Adam! and phoenix escort and the others Good to meet you too! Was very kind of you to go and ruin a good lap time and a half decent pair of tyres by laying down some rubber and clearing the track for us

And the 5th and 6th runs were the other two interesting ones, see if you can work out why? Adam, that sucker plows a bit. Have you and dad cooked up a strategy to get her more neutral? There's a lot more speed in the Garry I reckon if you can... Norm

I was waiting for a racers excuse of cold tyres it was fun watching you and your dad going round trying to beat each other ;D I was adamant that I hadn't been stupid enough to just lift off, but the video reveals all and it appears that I did ;D Ahh well there's always a first time, i've had it 'wiggle' on me before but this time it just snapped and went before i had time to think about it. Norm, it's a lot better than it was, the main issue is the fat rear ARB and relatively small torsion bars, which reduces the rear end grip but in a twitchy manner rather than a predictable one. It really needs to be much stiffer sprung all around to take advantage of the tyres but that means new torsion bars (£250) and coilovers (£400). We're doing it the proper way and moving to RWD next season ;D

Was great to meet you and your father and sister - hope she didn't get too bored. Fantastic runs and I can only add - I haven't stopped grinning since I got out after the last run. glad the Escort stopped 'JUST' in time and the Sierra damage was minor on what - it has to be said - was a nightmare of a corner in anything bigger than your motor I think. Looking forward to next years lunacy already John
