I was approached by someone who'd always wanted an e23, so passed it on to him. I was glad to help him achieve his dream car ownership.

The touring was just destined to come my way, after it was posted on Facebook by a friend, of a Facebook friend. I made an offer, then passed it onto a mate, who did the work to recommission it. He then listed it on eBay but I saw it for myself last week, when I went to visit in my white 2002. I used to have a blue 02 touring back in about 1994, that had been lowered, caged etc and was towed and scrapped after I'd broken down and left it unattended. So when I saw this one I hatched a plan. I already had a set of Weber 40's and some lower springs tucked away, so it seemed rude not to ask James if he was up for doing a deal with a certain Lada Niva I'd located? An ideal vehicle for a winter in Brecon. Job done. I also have a set of 13'' Minilites with 185/60 intermediate track tyres fitted.

It's over a year now Nas. All good things come to he who waits. It's not a car I ever plan to part with so it's worth taking the time to do it right I guess? I know it's on the home stretch now and all the fabrication work is finished with, apart from the airbox.

All of your cars are just stunning, I hope you're able to get out and about in MIB soon. Love the new Touring too.

I am looking for an Automatic (unable to drive a Manual for a year or so) E21 or early E30 - have had the rims sitting ready for ages now!

I've been running the touring as my daily and enjoying the added practicality of having a hatchback, with 60/40 split folding rear seat. The rack means it's even more capable when it comes to lugging stuff around with me. I've got a set of minilites to bolt on next week. If anyone is on the hunt for a touring, it may well be available sometime soon and I'm always open to selling.











The postman brought me a belated Christmas gift, in the shape of some new LEDA suspension for the M3. I've always been a fan of LEDA suspension but it's hard to find and can be expensive. I was lucky here though and LEDA said they'll do a full refurb' for £100 a corner. Even allowing for the price of the kit, I could never have bought them new for the same money. All I need now are some Porsche 996 or AP brake callipers.







Hopefully it won't be long till Pristine Bodyworks have their spray booth finished. I really want MIB finished and now we're into the 2nd year of the build. Once painted, it's just the smaller details that need completion. I dug out these Engelmann mirrors, that were actually taken from a 70's Porsche 911, but they need some prep work and to be painted satin black. They're just so much better quality than the eBay copies I had before.

I have someone interested in the touring (it's available for £3250) but I'm taking it for a run to Essex later today. I'm heading over to see Pristine Bodyworks new premises and check on MIB's progress. I'm hoping that mine will be one of the first into the new spray booth. I'll be back with some photos later I hope.

Well I went to Pristine Bodyworks smart new premises today and saw MIB. The move has delayed work on MIB but it should be getting painted in the next couple of weeks. Mechanically everything is just about finished, so once painted, it just leaves wiring and interior. We're definitely on the home straight at last.



Smart new offices have nearly been completed inside the workshop space.



Hopefully the next update will come as the prep work starts for paint.

Read your thread with interest,Mark - particularly the aspects with ref to pristine bodyworks. I'm giving my '02 Touring to Mick et al in April to get the bodywork fitted,straight and ready for paint so am pleased to see their workmanship looks great

Mick has looked after several of my old BM's for a few years now and his work quality is extremely good. The quality of my e21 build doesn't always show in the photographs, but it really is about as close to my having a new e21 as is possible. His bodywork and paint skills are exceptional and even my engine bay is perfect. Having seen a few 02's go through his workshop, I'm sure you'll be very happy.

I am also organising a retro show and open day, at Pristine Bodyworks new premises. It looks likely to take place on Sunday April 27th but I'll confirm that ASAP.

Just going to concentrate on getting MIB finished and counting the days till the M3 arrives home.

I recently found your thread from a google search as I am in the process of building a group 2 e21 as well. I definitely need to pick your brain on the wheel fitments and such for your track car. This thread is exactly what I needed to find! YES!!
