I found a couple of German pages on the car and, quite strangely, the running gear is standard Polo It is supposed to be a high-tech version of the Polo, featuring high-tech electronic parts and a high-end sound system...

YAY for BIGTRAK!
In the autostadt 'catalogue' that I bought in wolfsburg, there is a page on a polo they made that looked similar but had a beetle engine mid-mounted and in quite a high state of tune!
never saw it at the museum in the flesh though (they appear to rotate the cars on display!)
