This isn't mine but taken from another forum I use... white 90 spec car reg H7 RBO. between 10pm last night (27/10) and 6am this morning 17inch voodoos, half roll cage polished, ford mud flaps, original orange indicators all round, lowered 60mm car was stolen from scotts road southall. It was sitting on the main road where it has been used day in day out for the past 5 years. It has most definetely been stolen to order for running gear etc as the shell was rotting on a pillar and rear archs which were visible with brown rust and few dots had appeared on the roof. The car had been maintained over the years by Jamsport and oddkiddcreations and was only stage 1 rs turbo running bar of boost. Also had a small turbo systems sticker on front screen at top. It was not anything largely spec'd or with a brand new white paint job either. But it was an rs turbo that was paid for with a large sum 5 years ago. Was off the road alot of its life and had full chrome engine bay with servo cover, inlet manifold etc etc. Its original factory plate is H991 TNG had plate changes in its life as its been owned by enthusiasts so was never a cheap run around rs turbo. full thread here (with CCTV of the thieves van etc) passionford.com/forum/general-discussion/324249-escort-rs-turbo-stolen-middlesex-southall-cctv-footage-found.html

makes you sick to see it towed away like that, pleasing to see so many people working hard to track it down and the cctv shots etc. well worth a nosey through that thread.

It seems that way now doesn't it. Such a shame as it looks like alot of people have put a lot of effort into finding it. Thought this one would be a rare happy ending but it seems like it won't be now.

I see why Elvis is curse word off but was left wondering why when he tx the owner of the car when he was supposedly standing in front of it askin for vin numbers why he didnt just send the ones he has to the owner for refference? Is it me or is that a bit funny?? I don't think he found it and tried and got shook personally.

Would be a bit sus if he started texting numbers don't you think.
Would be easier for him to have the VIN on his phone and just glance at the car.

No because either way he would have had to look and surely he could have tx him most of them just by remembering?? He was txting while he was with the car so it wouldnt have been hard to tx saying 'I'm STANDING INFRONT OF......' and send the chassis number. Thats just my opinion anyway... If he was with the car and tx the bloke sayin this turbo is chassis no ****** that would be the end of it for him he could go home and its the other blokes problem. But instead he txt and said I'm standing in front of a white escort turbo i need your vin number to check. wtf? Maybe its just me lol getting it totally wrong i just found that bit confusing thats all and as noone on that thread mentioned it i thought i would.

I read that thread all the way through. A lot of the people on there now are hinting that they think it was just a set up for the insurance just because he didnt look at a car being broken. The thing is how many people would set up there car being stolen then post it all over the internet, what would be the point. You would just keep it quiet and wait for the insurance money.
I think that the car was genuinely stolen and its a bad thing that it has now turned into a slanging match. People on there have now forgotten that there is a bunch of scum in that area going around stealing cars with a recovery truck.

If my car ever went walkies, I'd pay good monies for someone like Elvis there to be looking for it. With the CCTV I was expecting another "Beyond.CA The Claw" incident. THE CLAAAAWWWW!!!!
