Was reading this getting very excited at the prospect as I thought I might have the KP ready but just realised that I'm supposed to be in Sziget that week.
However, I was struggling with the fact that it would cost me too much to hit the festival so now I have a great excuse to miss it!
..... off to work out how I can wriggle out of this one!

Have his X fixed? What's wrong with her?! But other than that and a lack of wiper motor, funds and mojo (because of a lot of bodges), nothing ;D

Crazy and totally impractical plan, but trailer it over to A52 three or four days before the Gathering and we can try to get it all fixed in an '11th hour' welding mission. Like I say, crazy plan but I am serious

LOL, wow you're a machine (pardon the pun) but from what Pauric has told me, and how he smells, he has NO money, probably cost more to trailer it over what with 2 car spaces on the ferry. Amazingly generous offer, not up to me in the end either so it's not a real answer. ;D

Anyone taking the decision on what ferry to roll with? And then working out a route?

I'll need to know in advance if anyone is going to be coming over to A52 before the Gathering.
You're all welcome to stay over before and after too. Just keep me up to speed with the plans and I'll do what I can to accomodate. ;D

I nearly feel like I'm the only one going. There's a lot of tumbleweed in this 'ere forum pard'ner. Thats a very generous offer Bruce, and I know one person that wants to avail of it! I think I may as well. I'm going to be booking my ferry at the end of this month, one way or another. Someone tell me what ferry to book for the convoy...

I'm still hoping to go man, although I dunno when I'll be booking it as of yet. I'm killed for cash at the minute and dunno if i'll be ferrying or flying at this stage....

Well I'm pretty sure I'll be heading over Thursday night Aug 5th With Stenna - ross to Fish. But there is a fellow Scimitar owner that may be travelling to the show too and will be going on the Fri morning boat so might get that instead. Save me sleeping it rough in Fishguard or getting a B&B.

Took a policy decision in my head over the weekend, and I'm going to forfeit the 2010 Retro-Rides Gathering. Seems the best thing to do, all things considered.

I have been throwing this around in my head for the last couple of weeks. I wont be coming to this years RRG2010. I thought that i would have a convoy going over so that a load of us could have split the difference. Then i thought of flying over but the people who said they would come pulled out. Hopefully for the people that are still going this thread can provide information

Good man Leigh - you thinking of going from Dublin or Rosslare? Just booked mine from Rosslare with Stenaline and it came to ~€315 for 3 people return. They will only get more expensive the longer you wait Pity the gang from last year cant make it.

Ah I know Joe, money is King afterall. I'd say I'll probably book it over the weekend - just waiting to appropriate some funds! Plus I'm still not sure what we'll be going over in. Ru taking the Scimitar again?

Yeah will be taking the scimitar alrite - have an extra passenger this year too and maybe a mate on a bike following us. Staying over in the UK for a week for a bit of a holiday too.
So what are you thinking of bringing Leigh?

Its a toss up between the GT and my daily Arosa. Thing is the GT is on the blink so I dunno whether to trust it for that long of a journey or not. The Arosa is a ball of sh1t but at least it'll get me there!
