HotWired sent me an email and told me to register... So here I am. :-) I drive a not-so-retro 1989 golf GTI, with around 180bhp.. :-) I've actually been lurking on your forum for a while, but finally decided to register after the kick up the from HotWired.. ;-) Cheers. alex.

Hey, there's nothing wrong with newer Retro Cars either. The mk 2 Golf, and even the mk 3 are up-and-coming kinds of classics, or they will be before long. I've always thought the same about eighties cars like the Volvo 240 and 740, mk 3 Capris, Skoda Estelles, Ladas, and that kind of thing. I mean, people laugh, but I'd sooner be seen in a smoky old Lada than in a Saxo with a stupid cheap bodykit on it and 21 inch wheels!
