Oh yes, it's still about.
Kevin sold it on and the new owner is loving/cherishing it.
BTW - typo in the first post. It's Cooper, not Copper!!

Have a looky here for some very basic details from the new owner: www.beachbuggyclub.com/hotlemon/B289 = "Back to '89" which is the era of the VW scene that was booming when I started driving. It's making a bit of a comeback both in Beetles and also the watercooled scene.

well remember that being featured in custom car, loved it then - and now
iirc from the articele, he bought the body at the tip, and the running gear was put together with what he could acquire on the cheap - something tells me the engine came out of a grasstrack racer?
wish CC featured stuff like this these days - IMO that is what 'hot rodding' is all about - big motor, light car - on the cheap!

Almost on the road: b11 sunny breadvan, e36 tds, 325i skidcar,
nearly there: ford f250 tathauler, suzuki alto, u11 bluey
not for a while: ford pop, 32 rails,
not in this lifetime: ruby, '29 hillman
''unfortanatly I'm quite old and scruffy and in need of some loving. my drive shaft needs a new boot....''

That's superb, looks really well built. I'm trying to identify the front and rear lights... anyone have any idea? I was thinking the rears look Japanese perhaps?

IIRC I had a sit in that when I was a kid at RTTS. PRV V6 in it? I thought the thread was gonna be about John Websters Hot Lemon Minor hehe. Matt

I think the rears look like van or estate lights on their side, the way they wrap around at the bottom would make sense if they wrap around the side of the original car...
Fronts look Ford, MkII Fiesta/MkIV Escort?

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

arrg, first I though Mini rear lights, then Datsun Cherry estate but they're one red bit too many . I give up.
