That would be so great to find it tucked away my only worry is my dad sold it to a guy who used to work at mad burts scrapyard (off the a38 i think?) And to make things worse he was a banger racer. But as i said its showing up as not scrapped but then I'm sure it could of easily been scrapped and not declared back then, it was the 90's. I tryed the dvla and they fobbed me of with basicly, we cant tell you where it is and that reg doesnt belong to a granada. so its a mistery, the hpi check shows it as a granada so the plate hasnt been transfered either.

How is the old barge coming on sir...! It seems like you've got a good few projects to your name now...?! I do hope your Granada makes it back out on the road some time soon... Blimey Ive been slack with this! Right, between break ups, and having my storage taken away from me for no reason, the cars been moved about three or four times. But, now it resides in its new place, and is quite happy, albeit quite dusty too! Also, with the recent purchase of a welding set up, work can actually start! There's lots of holes on this car, so thought I'd start at a corner, and carry on round until I finish. So, N/S inner wing was where I started, but ended up repairing the drivers side footwell?! You see, the hole in the inner wing was so big, the interior trim was visible, so by the time I'd stripped the whole interior, and shoved it into a Fiesta, I'd got carried away with the floor! Granada explosion! Rot in drivers footwell After chisiling off all the sound deadening stuff on either side, I was left with this.Passenger side isn't quite as bad. So I made merry with the grinder, and finished with this Which turned into this Not bad i thought for my second ever piece of automotive welding! Not so much the prettiest of finishes, but my hammer says its as strong as anything! ;D 'Arty' shot of my view for quite some time! The first proper steps have been taken, now its all go, mot awaits.Eventually.

So more progress.Having sorted the drivers footwell, I moved to the drivers inner wing.Started looking a bit like this after chopping all rot out Then progressed Finito Its annoying me at the moment that its not neater, but is super strong, and wont be visable, but still, rather it looked better.Still, practice makes perfect and all that.

Dare I ask...?!
I am only hoping it's awaiting some much needed skillful TLC...!!!
Any Granada restoration is a big challenge so the longer it takes the better (if you catch my drift?!)...

Sorry mate, totally forgot to reply before. Its still in progress! Was working on it yesterday. Have done the passenger side floor pan, and patched the passenger side sill too. Trouble is, you fix one hole, and find a bigger one! Don't worry though, its not scrapped yet! ;D How true... I'm at the verge (or is it virge) of starting my weldathon probably next week. Until then it looks a like this... Although looking at this picture it looks al lot more sound than it is... Holes everywhere... But it will be dealt with correctly. Glad to see you save yours!!

Little updates.More welding!Seeing as I have free time at the moment, my day consists of applying for jobs, then going to the unit.Might as well crack into the Granada, as its not costing me anything. Anyway, the other day poking about, I found another hole.A massive one!Someone had used a repair section, but not actually welded it on, but just stuck it on with seam sealer!Gave it a little knock with a hammer, and it fell off!Supprised it lasted that long.Anyway, the hole; A bit of welding later, and we have this; Not as neat as I would have wanted, but my welder seems to be playing up a bit recently.Or its me!Was fine, but now seems a bit off.Anyway, I carried on to the next hole! This is a little hole under the rear seat on the passenger side.Little hole.Or not. Turned into; Which turned into this; I got it all welded up, but didnt take a photo for some reason! This car a has single handedly eaten my knot wheel! Next hole to be tackled. N/S/R footwell. This has had a patch done on it before(which melted the carpet!), but was just slapped over the rusty hole, which has got worse. Cleaned up a bit Thats it for today, possibly more tomorow.
