I gave up trying to read the description less than half way through. if youre really that illiterate, surely youd get someone else to write the auction description for you? Two sentences and my eyes started to hurt. A lot. I can't focus now, my brain hurts so much. I think that description has damaged, or at least injured, my optical nerve. And no, I'm really not joking.

Re the IVA, if it was exported to ireland, registered as a pickup and then re-imported, would it still need it as the doc's would state its a pickup? That is what I think conrad meant. The original DVLA record for the VIN will state saloon regardless of what import papers say. Also ask AceAdvice because I'm sure I have heard of people importing pickups which were impossible to register here legally because the DVLA has no testing class for modified commercials.

I think thats a half decent conversion at least proportion wise.
With a 24v or 2.3 Saab Turbo lump in it, you could turn it into a Drift car where BIVA doesn't really matter.

Would it not score enough points on the biva to retain its id and reclassify it as a pickup. Bryan

you could register it here in ireland, then re register it over there again.. Not sure if that would help because it would still need to be IVA'd on return to the UK? you see, it might not need too much investigating, because they'd have just called it a normal vehicle here, and the registration certificate would be normal, and just say vauxhall, 2 seats, 1.8 petrol bla bla, they'd just class it as a small van/ light commercial, so there's a possibility of it just going straight through the registration process.

Any vehicle leaving the country from here ends up reunited with its original number on its return , that's what VINS are about As Alistairk said there is NO class for an already registered car cut into a pick up UNLESS you do more work to it to qualify for FULL Amateur built status . Nor would you be able to buy ANY modified car and put it through BIVA it needs to be 'you' thta builds it ,with photographic history as proof to be able to use the test. www.the-ace.org.uk/BIVA-Pickup-problems.html

Bryan Mainstay of right to registration under 8 points system is mandatory original UNMODIFIED monococque , so no
