Saw this today, dragged unceremoniously from the point of impact and dumped out of the way. Stripped interior and a bucket seat. I hope the driver is ok. Drive safely people!

Ouch, poor S13 Looks great on them R32 GT-R wheels too. Is it me or is the glass bent where it says 200SX? Or is it because of the angle of the reflection or something?

The standard rear arms on S13 are very weak and often break with light contacto, so I'm guessing it's probably easily fixable! I love the sound of big ends in the morning!

What's not to love?! S13s are definitely cool and fast. I want a black S13 Silvia with a Skyline GT-R RB26DETT, sleeper style with stock rims on it and everything. Although they're kind of seen as the first generation of the "modern" Japanese performance cars, they must be retro by now! I mean, even the S15 went out of production years ago, and the first S13s are over 20 years old! If a 20 year old car isn't retro then I'm not sure where half of the cars on this forum stand.
Also, it's very strange that this one is a 180SX with 200SX written on it? Is that how they were badged for the UK market? Because in Australia the 200SX was the Silvia coupe version with a bootlid, and the 180SX is the hatchback version, as it is in Japan. I don't think we ever got officially imported hatchbacks though.

don't think we ever got the ps13 silvias in th uk officially. The 180sx and in fact the whole range of silvias we got here were all marketed as 200sx's.

I had an SR20DET powered S13 and would 100% have another. It was beautifully balanced, responsive and very fast. It was also comfortable and had a near perfect driving position for me too. Even a stock one is a pretty nice car and surprised me at how comptent it was for it's age.
As regards the 'infamous' big end failure... it's purely a result of neglect. The CA18DET was quite a sophisticated little engine in it's day but it was a development from a SOHC carburettor unit and it's lubrication system was stretched to the limit really by having the DOHC head to feed as well as a turbo. With proper regular oil changes you'd never see a problem but most of these cars have long since passed from the hands of people who look after their cars properly.

What an idiot, putting up locals' council tax because he can't keep it on the road. Maybe he should go back to watching The Fast and The Furious until he learns to drift properly.

Drifting is naturally hazardous, even the best professional drivers crash regularly. That's why it's illegal and dangerous to drift on the street.

It's pretty confusing but we got S12 Hatch with the 1.8 8v Turbo (or the od N/A FJ) and IRS badged Silvia. The the S13 with the 1.8 16v Turbo badged 200SX. No coupes, just the shape in the o/p. Then the S14 and S14a badged 200SX. No S15, offically.

they are amazing thats why!!! i had one, and wish i never sold it, but just didn't have enough money to fix everything, which is the problem with most old performance cars. silvia s13 - fixed headlight with seperate boot lid (JDM only) rs13 - pop up light model, with hatchback, its the 180sx in japan, came fitted with the sr20, 200sx here, with the ca18, and 240sx in the states, with some horrible 2.4 n/a thing. and there are loads of variants, only imports tho, silvia convertable, sil80 which was the one with the fixed front lights but the hatchback boot, this was built by nissan towards the end of its life as a nod to the drifters who used to repair there smashed up 180sx's with cheaper silvia parts, they also did a version with the flip up lights, but silvia back end, think it was only in the states tho my old one

Glad I sparked some good responses, and I can post far more pictures of good looking ones than have been posted already, don't worry! In my head I've been through several changes of opinion of the best looking, initially it was the Sil80, but now PS13 is my fave for some reason. SR20'd for me. But then I have an FC RX7, which is far more interesting IMO! A photoshop: And that'll do for now!

I nearly bought an s13 a couple of years back when my cousin was selling his... Didnt in the end due to massive insurance restrictions and it needing a few bits... Would buy one in a heartbeat now if i could find one cheap enough... Insurance is low enough to be done, They are amazing cars to be a passenger in at the very least.. I havnt yet had the pleasure of driving one.... But his was totally standard originally... and even then, pretty damn quick. He changed it later on to have a bigger turbo, huge stainless system throughout, oil cooler, huge intercooler, IIRc he imported an AIRLOCKER diff for it too...

Drifting is naturally hazardous, even the best professional drivers crash regularly. That's why it's illegal and dangerous to drift on the street. The best professionals are trying to get the most angle, smoke, sound and impact they can, which is why they crash. F1 drivers crash but you or I could lap any F1 circuit all day without crashing, just don't push as hard. Like I said, the guy's an idiot and he should go learn to drift properly.
