East Midlands meet 8th Sept (pics on page 2)

The meet will be held at the Festival inn, Trowell, Notts, from around 7 pm onwards on the 8th Sept,
this location is chosen due to it having a quite large carpark with room for more if it gets really busy.

It was a good turnout last time but I still want more.

This is the 2nd Wednesday of the month and all the ones through the year will be on the 2nd Wednesday

Lets try and get the East Midlands scene more noticed in 2010

If you know of people with a retro car tell them to come along, if you know of any other forums based around retro cars and have members in the East mids let me know

Last year the best car count we had was around the 26 mark, I want it to be exceeded on more than one occasion if possible this year

On a final note can I ask for limited wheelspins, burnouts, and fast driving in the carpark and on the way out, don't want to be upsetting the locals and having to try and find somewhere else. (don't mind so much at the end of the season as theres a few months for them to forget)

I'm getting confused with these Wednesday night meets now, I think this is the same date as the next meet at the Cattle Market? (if its on again) I'll try and remember to come down for this one though as I completely forgot last time it was on.

yup, although the Cattlemarket starts at 6pm so we could all meet up down there 6ish, hang down there for an hour or so, then cruise over to the Festival Inn...

Heheh, I am missing the Celeste right now! ;D

I'm currently battling the rear suspension on the Bond. The bolts are unbelievably corroded.
Tomorrow they meet Mr Angle Grinder. All this just for one wheel bearing, but I'm doing the bushes while I'm there.
Brakes need finishing once I get the right ends - the local factors messed up twice but the guy doesn't seem to understand why I feel getting the correct fittings is critical. I'm currently seeking a better factor which is staffed by people who know what they are talking about.

Won't be at this one, by 7pm I will probably be filthy dirty, and either thoroughly p*ssed off with it all or mildly pleased that I got it all apart. ;D

think i may try to get an hour at cackle and and an hour at festival , think we need an east mids head together ,notts has loads of meets now ,seems a shame to clash em , combining may be better , just a note that i think RR has made good showings at the cattle market meet and papplewick , east mids RR AGM may be of benefit?

We may lose a few to the Cattle Market Meet, although some say they'll come to the Festval afterwards, so we'll hopefully get a half-decent turnout!
