Good to see you got the heater changed!
That looks worse than the heater swap I did in my 944! Saying that, it is wonderful to have a working heater in this weather.

I think 10mpg called dibs on the wheels so I need to check with him before selling them elsewhere. I need to swap over the tyres as well and some other bits. will let you know. Thanks muchly dude, No need to hold dibs for me though, I am on the verge of having one of those cathartic SELL EVERYTHING car shaped things, so i can then yog the money on one good thing i use... That said the P5 will be the only thing staying and that's what i wanted them for, so I'll have a think, but if someone waves money in your face for them grab it!

Chas, no heater yet. Car is off the road now with the dash out still.
10mpg, I don't think these wheels would fit your P5 anyway. P5 is 5x5" and these are 5x4.5-5x4.75 unilug. I think.
Let me know what you are selling and when. Never know what I'm buying or when.
You even thinking of selling the ol' Stang?

OK last weekend my pal Steve and Benzboy came over to assist in the refit of the dash. Its a 2 man job. Or 3 if one of you is poncing about taking photos. All back in now. But the heater is still not connected. Thats a job for another day as getting to the hoses will require quite some dismantling under the engine bay. So the net result is I am still driving around in a car with no heater. And am driving the Trans Am since one of the tyres in the Cadillac has popped bad, and the spare is a space saver. I did pick up some "new" wheels off Karma Frank a while ago and a "new" prop Lordy only knows when I'll get them fitted at this rate.

the new rims are Chevy Camaro RS items. should weigh half what the chrome ones do and are correct PCD rather than unilug.

This looks like some bizarre car accident scene. ;D Plumbing the pipes in looks fiddly, but it'll be nice to have heat - just in time for summer! I too am going without heat due to a non-working fan.

OK short update - idle speed problems seemed to be related to the TPS. RockAuto had one for like £10 but with horrific shipping and VAT etc was going to be £32 by the time I got it. So I ordered one from USAutomotive which was £28 +P&P. They charged me £5.50 for that and then there was VAT as well so I paid £44 for it. Sod me.
Next up I thought that it was suffering some other malaise as after a day of local running where it seemed OK it started to not idle. A quick check revealed that when I refitted the air intake hose it wasn't tightened properly and had slipped and was now jamming the TPS... D'oh. All appears to be OK now.

Been doing a bit on the car now and I'm not 100% happy with the idle, still seems too fast to me. I did however remove a layer of tint from the screens, much improved, although still very tinted, and installed a Ford Ka rear view mirror. The cracked rear light was next. I got a replacement one from a guy in Arkansas but mine have been modified in an attempt to show an orange turn signal so I couldn't just fit the replacement one I had to curse word about and make the new one's outer fit over the old one's inner. but job done, looks a lot better.

I also took the time to give the old beast a proper wash and wax. I used this fancy new carlack nano 68 stuff.which seems to do a nice job The main reason is to stop it getting so etched by acid bird poo next up was to fit the Grant GT steering wheel I got ages ago from Uncle Norm's Parts Emporium of WINlooks great, its a bit smaller than the stock one so a bit "go kart" feeling at the mo, but I like it. I made the "mistake" of following the instructions and aligning it to the factory centre point so its as off-whack as the other one was so I need to get the tracking etc. looked at to straighten that up. Front plate, frame etc. now installed.

How you finding it to drive Alistair?

drives great. Its loud, too firmly sprung and I broke a rear antiroll bar drop link so the back really swings about now. its impossible to drive in a straight line in the wet unless you really baby it. It feels like about 5000 BHP then LOL. The smaller steering wheel makes it feel like mentalist go-kart. Its fun. Prop still not done so I get occasional horrific vibes this I ***need*** to sort soon.

This is one of the best sounding cars! I love it. Great work on the updates, and if you need a hand with the prop let me know although my time is limited lately!
