So.. this car : Is all the way awesome for older members of the community here at Retro Rides, about 5 years ago rmad did a photoshop/paint job of pretty much this car (except it was bright yellow and the hatchback). .. would love to find the photoshop to compare. Also.. is the owner on here? It was one of my fave cars of the show, simple, effective, inexpensive to produce.

I've no idea about the owner, but I realised that I had gone the wrong way through Sailsbury when I saw it going the other way.
Where else would a low brown Datsun be going that morning?

Yeah, that car looked great, I'd never seen that model before. I'd never have put those rims on it but it suits it.

I really liked that too. N10's are generally pretty unloved so it was nice to see one given 'the treatment' and looking good for it. I reckon all it'd need is to loose the stripes and trim, then maybe another inch down on the front and it'd be perfect.

Looks absolutely great! Are they Saab wheels? Pretty sure they're Lenso wheels or similar BBS replicas. The Saab ones are Ronals and (I think!) are wrong pcd at 4x108mm. The car looked great at the gathering either way.

I loved it. This is the 'original' photoshop: It's actually quite different.

awesome example indeed! It wasn't a showroom example, you could see it was being used, but it still looked very nice, that's how I like em!

I might be quite wrong, but isn't that in the readers rides section of last month's Retro Cars? Different wheels, but I'm sure the car is the same.

Just had a look at the mag and the one in the reader car section is a Datsun 120A on awful bling wheels. It has a different roof line and less vinyl too.

can someone link me to the ad for the 700 quid blue one, as yesterday I saw a blue cherry coupe for sale for 700 quid on my way to go soapbox racing - went back today and it had gone!

i had a good look round the gold n10 as it looked real cool to me. personaly i wouldn't touch a thing, i thought all the decals worked really well. and loseing another inch out of the front would prob make it undriveable. respect to the owner/builder

I loved this car at the Gathering, had a red one in the late 80's and it was one of the most fun cars I've owned, the wind down rear side windows and IIRC a dogleg shift pattern. Also it beeped when you put it in reverse which amused the life out of my then 5 year old son cos the car sounded like a bus ;D Wanted another ever since but now is not the time sadly, cars to dispose of before buying new toys

My F10 was a great drive when lower than this and there's not a lot different up front. I loved it too.
