Well, I have removed the bump strips from my K10 and managed to get the glue and foam off from one side using a plectrum and white spirit but it took about 2 days. I still have the other side to do and was wondering if anyone knows a remedy for removal?
I have already tried a cheap tar and grease remover and adhesive remover.
Any ideas?
Tom.

Use an axe and run at the car, fast.
If you want to keep the side of the car reasonable, try as above, using a little heat. You can get a toffee wheel for a drill that drags all the stuff off dead easy, but they are about £20. Depends how much your time is worth!
EDIT: BEATEN and OH BLIMEY THEY ARE CHEAPER THAN I THOUGHT!

TBH, once you've tried a toffeee wheel to get this stuff off, you'll never bother doing it any other way. It makes really light work of it.

Be cautious of areas where dodgy repairers have only painted up to mouldings as a toffee wheel love's destroying this.
Also don't put too much pressure on or get the area too hot with it, they will smoke though as the wheel gets hot, basically keep it moving.
Oh and try to not let it bounce else you will end up with a panel that looks like someone thought there was a rubbing strip when parking.
Best of luck.

WD40 is surprisingly good at removing glue.

I've used a heat gun and all sorts of acetone, paint thinner etc, but the store bought tar/glue remover works best, and lots of heat. It's a huge pain tough, and next time i'll absolutely buy a toffee wheel. And remember to check so the paint behind the strips are the same colour as the rest of the car before ripping them off
