Today i bought a xj40 3.2s to drive over winter as my 944 is getting spoiled.
I didnt get a quote until now as i don't expect at 31 to have any issues. Basicaly my whinge is this- I'm 31, driving 12 yrs, no claims ever and have 5 yrs no claims to use full uk resident ect..
My girlfreind got a quote on the same as she likes the car- She is 25, driving 6 yrs, had a claim 3 yrs ago no bonus as she has always been on her dads policy, uk resident for 6 yrs and has a EU licence (i know...)
How can it be that on confused.com with matching info she can get cover on it for £200 less than me? Even she says this is not logical or fair!
If the company are happy to honour this quote i will give her the bloody thing as its cheaper than her 1.4 astra.

I was paying 150 fully comp on a 3.2 jag with Highway, they wanted 600 extra to add my missues cos she has three claims and some points.

insurance is always a joke. I pay £1800 on a 1.3, I've got no ncd because i've been on my mums for the last year, although I've never had an accident.
My girlfriend, has 2 claims in the past 2 years (She's only been driving for 2 years) yet it costs her £600 less than me to get insured on my car.

It seems insurance has taken a humungous hike, I'm paying more now than I was 5 years ago, exactly the same status. Like petrol price rises, I think the reason the charge has increased massively is because they figured out they can.
