yeah my thoughts exactly, most i'll be carrying is a couple of bullmastiffs lol
thats cool, i'll get on and order some springs then i think, as 306 ones are like half the price of partner ones. do you know if they 100% need to be diesel ones? i'd presume so.
torsion bar is a whole other can of worms. i've heard of people getting them half done and then shearing. it's actually an easier job to swap the whole rear beam for a gti-6 or xsara vts one. though obviously far more expensive. not looking forward to that job as i know it'll be a total knob to do.

you should be able to pick up a gti/xsi/vts/hdi disc rear beam for around 100quid, just make sure the bushes are in good order otherwise its a waste of dollar, thats the main reason they get changed, easy way to tell is one or both rear hubs will have serious negative camber if the bushes are screwed. Then you'd just need 306 handbrake cables and some new flexi brake pipes. Its not as big a job as it sounds. still haven't seen this around yet lol

oh dear how did you manage to do that? Breifly it goes something like this................... Wet greasy road.....came around a blind corner to see a car stopped to turn right. It didnt have its brake lights on because it was already stationary. By the time i realised it was turning right and stationery i was already pretty close so slammed on the brakes......nothing happened apart from a massive skid, so instead of hitting the poor guy in the rear (who informed me later just spent £1500 on getting it through the MOT) i opted for the softer hedge and ditch. Faced with the same situation again i would probably do the same, hard to explain clearly but overall its a fair result!

I dreed to think of the end result if that telegraph pole was a bit closer, Still that yellow one is a cooler colour.
