Sits the same as mine, however.... i had what looked like reverse rake arch wise but that was due to gay corsa rear arches being lower. Any pics of the spacers? also... another inspiration shot: Come on ditch, get it down

Might I suggest some of this, in cream. Suggested technique from personal experience: layer 1 - thin fabric, polycotton will do, about £1-3 per metre. layer 2 - hollowfibre padding/wadding sheet. Alternatively, thick fabric from the discount section of the haberdashers. layer 3 - facing fabric. I'm thinking cream vinyl to go with the rest of the car, but anything suitable for upholstery will do the trick. Once layers are laid on top of one another, pin/tack them together and then mark your diamond pattern with a chinagraph pencil or tailor's chalk. Carefully tack/pin the lines before sewing along each one with a sewing machine. If you take your time, a professional finish can be the result and not too many pennies need to be spent. Pro-tip: old curtains can be got for cheap from charity shops and they're often of suitably plain or fancy fabrics for covering door cards. I recently snagged 2 pairs of gold brocade curtains which gives me enough to do my headlining and some interior bits for £5.

I'll have a look into that, thanks for the informative post. Don't own a machine myself but may be able to pinch one for a few days.

No news on any suspension yet, but have a job interview lined up I nthe next few weeks which is good news all round, so to sound cliche, 2012 is already starting off well. Cleaned the wheels, tyres, and windows the other day.. looked a right sight cleaning the old tin can next to the neighbours out cleaning TT's, mercs, etc. Rather like this incident so you have a pic to look at: Happy new year to you all.

Took a few stickers out of the front and rear windows, tidied up some bits, and removed the arches; moved them down and redrilled them so they may be still be up in the air at -40mm, but they sit flush now. I'll get better pictures when I can get my hands on a decent camera. You get the idea, on the second picture you can see the lighter line above the arch where they used to be. Peace.

So I realise that I haven't been online much since I got a job again.. A few pics at the Beach Meet, before coilovers: And after coilovers, fronts are only half down (small pro tyres for the front wheels soon) and I've got even lower springs coming for the rear hopefully. Ignore the lovely location, it was early morning on the way to holiday, perfect time to fat out a bit Also fitted some new door speakers, the old ones blew up, seats and door cards are back in... cars comfy again. And some even lower springs to fit the coloies on the rear have arrived, so I need to get fitting them too. Cheers.

You'd be right there, started to gloss it, there's another oxide corsa pop up with cream on it, but then holiday happened. On a productive note, new springs are ready to go on!

So work began. Front wheels got some new lower pro rubber (doesn't look so much in this picture, dirty wheels like), best way to tell is look at the difference in tyre wall between the front and rear wheels. Back ones needed some more chem metal treatment. Tyres on, wohoo. Arches off. Literally. No more rubbing, extra room, new rear springs fitted for a third set. Doesn't (to me) look much lower, although it must be as you can see.. the rakes leveled out. Ah well, more to come.
